I am a lecturer in philosophy at Swansea University. Previously, I held teaching posts at the University of Bristol, University of Leeds, University of Manchester, Lancaster University, and Coventry University. I completed a British Academy post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Leeds in 2019, having completed my PhD at the University of Manchester in 2015. My areas of research expertise are metaphysics, epistemology, philosophy of language, and philosophy of mathematics. I am particularly interested in how mathematics facilitates the representation and explanation of the physical world, what the subject matter of mathematics is, and how mathematical knowledge is possible. More recently, I have been exploring the metaphysics of virtual worlds, and the nature of social structural explanation.
